The Birchbark Roofing Long Beach Guarantee
We put our name on every roof we touch, and we back that name with a promise that’s simple enough to say out loud: if we do the work and it isn’t right, we come back and make it right. No fine print, no phone tag, no “that’s normal settling.” The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers every repair and replacement we perform in Long Beach, from a small patch near Naples to a full tear-off in Bixby Knolls. You’ll see the guarantee stamped on your paperwork before the first shingle comes off. Erik Lindgren stands behind it personally.
What’s Covered
- Workmanship on every repair and replacement. If something we installed or repaired fails within the guarantee window, we return and fix it at no charge, no debate.
- Written pricing before any work starts. You’ll have a dollar figure in writing, line by line, before we touch the roof. That price doesn’t get renegotiated halfway through the job.
- Your home’s interior, floors, and belongings. Shoe covers at the door, drop cloths through the hallway, all debris cleared and photographed before we leave. If your dog needs to stay inside, we coordinate the door schedule with you.
- Who’s on your property. Every technician is background-checked and uniformed. You’ll know names and faces before the crew sets foot on your driveway.
- Cleanup done right. We don’t leave nails in the grass or shingle scraps in the flower bed. You get a photo of the completed clean-up before the crew drives off.
- Materials from brands you can hold accountable. We work with GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning, IKO, Atlas, Tamko, and Boral, so if a manufacturer issue ever arises, you’re not stuck with a mystery product.

Our Satisfaction Promise
Here’s how it works if something doesn’t sit right. You call us. A live person answers, day or night, weekends included. You describe the problem. We schedule a return visit and fix it. That’s the entire process. The 365-Day Done Right Promise exists because Erik Lindgren would rather redo a section of flashing than have a Long Beach homeowner wondering for a decade whether the leak got fixed properly.
The Cedarwell Care Promise runs alongside it, and it’s built on four things we actually do on every job: Clean up like it’s our own home. Ask before we move or touch anything on your property. Respect your family’s time and quiet hours. Explain the price before the work. Those aren’t slogans. They’re the checklist our crew runs through before they call a job finished.
If you notice something after the fact, you don’t need to diagnose it yourself. You don’t need to climb a ladder. Just call (562) 512-7366 and tell us what you’re seeing. We’ll bring the ladder.
Licensed & Insured Backing
Paper promises matter. We’re licensed and insured, and that’s the layer that protects you beyond our word. A workmanship guarantee only helps if the company behind it is still standing when you need it, and proper licensing plus insurance means you’re never left holding a bill for an accident on your property or substandard work that needs correcting. If a crew member gets hurt on your roof, that’s our coverage, not your homeowner’s policy. If a repair fails, our license is on the line along with our reputation. It’s the difference between a handshake and a contract, and we carry both.

AfterWhy We Guarantee It in the First Place
Birchbark Roofing has been part of the Cedarwell family of roofing companies since 2000, and each location is independently owned and operated. That means our Long Beach team answers to Long Beach homeowners, not a distant corporate office. The guarantee isn’t a marketing tool. It’s the only sensible way to run a roofing business in a climate like ours, where salt air and sun punish roofs year-round and a small installation mistake can turn into a ceiling stain by winter. Erik Lindgren knows which Long Beach neighborhoods see the worst wind-driven rain off the ocean, and he builds roofs accordingly.
The name Birchbark isn’t accidental, either. Birch bark was one of the first roofing materials people used: light, tough, and made to shed water. That’s the standard we’re chasing on every job, whether it’s a two-story Spanish revival in Los Altos or a flat roof on a mid-century rental near the Traffic Circle. Roofing done carefully, from tear-off to clean-up.
What the Guarantee Doesn’t Pretend to Cover
We’d rather be honest than vague. If a tree limb punches through your roof during a Santa Ana wind event, that’s storm damage, not a workmanship issue. We’ll come fix it and work with your insurance, but that’s a new repair, not a warranty claim. If your roof is forty years old and past its useful life, no guarantee will resurrect it. And if another contractor did the original work, our guarantee covers what we touch, not what we didn’t. We’ll still take a look and tell you exactly what we see, written up and priced in plain English.
Call Us Before You Worry
Most roof problems get worse while homeowners wait to see if they’ll get worse. If you’re in Long Beach and something about your roof is keeping you up, call (562) 512-7366 and describe what you’re noticing. We’ll schedule a free estimate, walk the roof, and hand you a written price. If you hire us, the guarantee is stamped on the paperwork. If you don’t, you’ll still know exactly what you’re dealing with. That’s the deal either way.
